Craneium
Industrial — 2023
Completed conduit work on a crane at a West Kootenay dam site to ensure the electrical systems are robust, safe, and compliant with high safety standards, while facilitating easier maintenance and future upgrades.
Bending pipe might sound easy enough, but it requires strength and precision. DR Power worked around the clock to see the project through to completion, meeting schedule requirements and end goals.
Scope of Work:
Performed a thorough examination of the installation site to ensure its suitability for a gantry crane, assessing for ground stability, available space, and potential obstructions
Calculated optimal positioning of the crane within the installation site, considering load requirements, access points, and operational safety factors
Designed conduit runs with separation for electrical components, including service feed, lighting, e-stops, load cells, and motor feeds

Rossland Outdoor Store
Commercial — 2022
Transformed an outdated building to meet the needs of a new outdoor adventure retail storefront. The project resulted in a beautiful, modern space that highlights the sport-equipment inventory and adds ease and functionality. The upgraded lighting system improves the visibility and display of gear, while the new receptacles and panel provide a reliable and efficient electrical service.
DR Power worked around the schedule of store owners, store launch, and other tradespeople, ensuring minimal disruption on site. All work was completed on time and within budget, facilitating a smooth transition to the store's opening.
Scope of Work:
Designed a lighting system that enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the store while adequately illuminating the sport-equipment inventory
Initiated lighting layout to accommodate retail storefront and merchandise
Installed new receptacles, wired a bathroom, and installed audio system
Installed new circuit breakers and wiring for additional outlets, lights, and appliances; replaced and upgraded older circuit breakers and wiring to handle increased load to improve panel safety
Installed heavy duty circuits for ski maintenance machine in the back of the store

Residential — 2023
Delivered a well-designed electrical system that enhanced a new home's aesthetic while ensuring modern functionality and energy efficiency. The electrical design provided optimal lighting and smart home features, meeting the homeowner’s needs and accommodating future use as a vacation rental. The project was completed with careful attention to both design and practical requirements, ensuring comfort and efficiency for the homeowner and future guests.
DR Power worked in collaboration with the lead contractor and other tradespeople on site while construction took place on the three-level home. The project required flexibility, with schedules adjusted on-the-fly to accommodate multiple people and priorities. All work was completed to a high standard, aligning with the owner’s vision in collaboration with DR Power’s expertise.
